Onto fun things and yes I've enjoyed many...the trip to visit my oldest son and family was wonderful and highlight of the month.
The weekend before I left for my kiddo fix my knit-spin friend Kathy came to stay. It was high fiber content from start to finish and as always we pump each other for and with ideas, just wish I'd taped the whole weekend as I know I've already forgotten half of them. Kathy gave me a late birthday present of these two books.......

which just happened to fit in nicely with one that Carolyn gave me........

I did finish the Shawl from the August '87 Anna/Burda #8 magazine. The editors gave it no name other than to call it "Elegant and Useful". It should have been knit in kid mohair but since I my stash only contained the unspun kind I thought I'd try the cone of "unknown synthetic content" that looks like kid mohair and is really, really soft. This is part of the haul Virgil my "super hero" of yard sales found for me.

I'm yet to try and block it and not sure if blocking will help but even without, it hangs nicely when worn. I think my daughter might like it......that's if I decide to give it to her. Isn't this a sneaky way to find out if she ever reads my blog hehe!
You may have noticed that lately my pictures tend to vary in color and quality. Well, along with everything else my digi-camera is acting up. What do you bet the warranty has just ran out....along with my patience for all things digital.
Well, it's Sunday and hubby is home......yeah! But I'll still happily share him with the TV and NCAA girls softball championship games. And anyway I'll be hunting for inspiration for my next knit project.
Wishing you smooth sailing through all your desires and designs.
