That is my new mantra.
My stack of ongoing projects has reached scary proportions and athough I've whittled them down a bit already they still give me the shivers.
So with the idea that making public what my top two priority projects (the biggies) are, I'll force my self to stay focused on them. Or face plenty of harassment (please) to get them done.
#1 Finish the vest needed for the Level 2 of the TKGA Master Knit Program. Then ultimately complete the other undone parts of Level 2 which I started about a year ago (I think that is when I became truly addicted to Spinning ;)
#2 Finish spinning the 4 oz each of of combed top from Eleven British Breeds. Then knit a jacket or vest (depending on my amount of inspiration and enthusiasm) to showcase their differences.
I've several "car projects" that I've promised myself to finish before I again succumb to temptation.
Photo's of my progress will be posted shortly.
If you think all the above should be easy, let me tell you about a couple of my close friends.....
I won't name them, you know who you are hehe!
One introduced me to Spinning.....and just smiled when I shook my head, finally my head and house became full of unspun fluffy stuff. Which now includes raw fleece and hair from Llama's and Alpaca's, yes I'm into some dirty business here.
I want you to know I wasn't a pushover either.
One other friend has now introduced me to demonstrating my favorite crafts at events such as Civil War re-enactments.....I'm still vigorously shaking my head but she insists she can get me into a corset before too long. I'm staying strong, I'm not a pushover.......really!
Another one got me into felting.....that wasn't so hard since it involved knitting the items first. Knitting is my first and everlasting love.
Then, as I belong to several Guilds and Groups I often get caught up in their project of the year/month or whatever. But I'm no pushover hehe!
Now I'm blogging........
Now ask me if I'm having fun......
Yes! Yes! Yes! Thanks to my fiber friends.
