I'm back

Wow, what a crazy couple of weeks. Hubby and I made the most of our evacuation and played around Mobile AL. It's a shame that Mobile is now under attack from Ivan. To cut a long story very short. We survived "Frances" and so did our home. Our tree's look like they went through a shredder but we were very fortunate. Power and water were restored yesterday after 10 full days without either...thanks to crews from New Hampshire. I've only placed needed items back where they belong, plus a few "homey" touches...Hurricane Jean will be knocking at our door come Monday. Then comes a whole other adventure.

While away I'd fully expected to have all kinds of time to knit. I'd taken plenty of supplies, but only managed to knit up a couple of balls on a shawl destined for my lovely daughter. I'm going to make up for lost time this weekend though. Three fabulous days at St. Augustine Beach...knitting, spinning and anything else I can try my hand at. Dying to see you Carolyn, Samina and Kathy...and also finally meet many of the creative fiberholic's that I have only gotten to know online.

I managed a few online visits to my favorite blogs while away, thanks to you all for helping me stay "grounded".
