Poncho

Paton's Canadiana Poncho.

Photo as promised.
This is a simple basic pattern, using two strands on size 13 needles.
The yarn was part of an eBay purchase a couple of years ago. It's OK but don't wouldn't rush to buy more. I was attracted by all the multi colored flecks which don't show too well on this photo. There are nicer Acrylic's, one being Encore but the Canadiana was "such" a bargain and one I couldn't resist.
Knitting for my family doesn't give me much opportunity to use yarns that require any special care, as everything WILL find it's way into the washing machine.
The pattern.
Very basic and worked from the top down.
  1. Cast on an even number of stitches (I did 68).
  2. Mark front and back center stitches.
  3. Increase with a Yarn Over each side of the center stitches on every other round.
  4. Knit 10 rounds then Purl one round.
  5. Continue till you get to the length you want.
The picture doesn't show the Purled round to well but it looks really nice and adds just that little bit of interest.
