Friday I finished the TKGA vest so it's "the one" that'll be submitted. I'm still awaiting the new Level 2 instructions as it had changes made in Sept. If changes were made for the vest and this one doesn't meet the new rules I swear I'll sit down and cry buckets. It barely fitted my twin but it wasn't supposed to be for me anyway. I really like how it turned out and think I'll like one for me but bigger of course.

Saturday at the 'Springs was, as expected a whole lot of fun. Although a chilly start to the day I was down to my sleeveless top and jeans by the time lunch was over. Here's a pic' of Pat getting her first lesson with the drop spindle. She had been wanting to spin her dogs hair, so I mixed it with some wool and she soon got the hang of spindling.
Sunday was another lovely day and decided to clean my van (did I tell you that to get to my house I have to drive along a dirt/sand road before I get back to pavement) well it's impossible to keep it clean for long. Well, with the van done I was on a roll and then proceeded to clean around the plants and bushes and one thing led to another and I'm repotting and splitting plants. Until I was attacked!!!! While I banged on the side of a pot of fern to loosen the dirt and grabbed the fern with the other hand I thought the little specks on my arms was dirt until it started moving and chewing. By this time some of the "dirt" was on my feet too. I dropped everything and ran to the bath and started running cold water on my arms while the water poured over my feet. These ants deserve the name FIRE! I'm howling while hubby is hunting the Benadryl and Ibuprophen. Afterwards when the fire/pain is down to a 3 alarm and hubby is outside making the little Bastards pay with their lives with bug killer, I actually finish the job I'd started. The Benadryl kicked in and I slept till 8 pm. That's when the flames started again. Another Benadryl and it was morning.
Today I've been finishing the "Voices In The Wind" bag and just have to stitch the lining in place. I'm planning to take it and the "vest" with me to Carolyn's tomorrow. You all can just envy me to no end.....I'm spending Tuesday night through Thursday morning playing with her toys......lucky me.
And I'll take pictures!!!!
